Monday, August 27th, the Chicago Sketch Comedy Festival will host their annual kick-off party and fundraiser, beginning at 7:00 p.m. You'll mix and mingle at the Theatre Building Chicago, 1225 W. Belmont Avenue, right here in Chicago. Tickets can be purchased for $20 dollars in advance at www.chicagosketchfest.com or at the door for $25.

Outrageous auction items - Comedy Classes, Lotsa Theater Tickets from Steppenwolf to Lookingglass to Victory Gardens, Day Spas, Whirlyball, Second City, Old Town School of Folk, iO, Comedy Sportz; and many more treats!

Sketch comedy performances by local troupes: The Cool Table, kevINda, Old!, Maui and more. And a viewing of the mini-documentary of last year's 2007 SketchFest.

The Chicago Sketch Comedy Festival is the largest sketch comedy festival in the nation. The upcoming Chicago SketchFest celebrates their 7th year anniversary. Scheduled for January 3rd - 13th, 2008, the event plans to showcase 100 sketch comedy groups from around the world, performing 125 shows in 8 days. In addition to performances, the event will feature workshops, networking opportunities and other special events.
